These are a new sweep facility and a new plasma-longitudinal seam welding machine.

"Especially in our industrial branch there are great demands on corrosion protection," said Hans-Georg Gluth, head of TLT-Turbo production of building and tunnel fans.

"With the commissioning of our new sweep-blasting equipment, we can now realize coatings to the highest corrosion class C5 on steel and as a duplexsystem with hot dip galvanizing.

Also the new welding equipment is state of the art. As a welding process, this machine can weld plasma and TIG cold wire can with and without filler, and all materials up to 3mm in steel, stainless steel, zinc and aluminum with no welding reinforcement. At TLT-Turbo it will be used for fast and economical weldingof casings of axial fans - automated via PLC control and without noise, dust or welding fumes.
